    Panagia Odigitria or Agitria, Mani

    The church of Panagia Odigitria or Anitria, as it is called from locals, are built on a sharp slope cliffs of Mezalimona, who is the first bay west of the pan.

    From inside the church the moaning sounds of the water and the courtyard, the view Tigani cape is unique. The Anitria is one of the most beautiful Byzantine churches. Byzantine church has cruciform with a dome, very cute, with splendid marble reliefs, columns and carved bird motifs on the floor. It has been built next to a cave and dates back to 1200. The hagiographies are faded, but high art. The oldest hagiographies are in the narthex and a few in the sanctuary, but there are newer hagiographies of 1808.
